A Special Cover release function was held on October 2, 2012 at Nashik by India Post in association with V.N. Naik Education Trust, Nashik to commemorate the Birth Centenary of Late Krantiveer Vsantrao Narayanrao Naik (MLA), a visionary leader, a great patriot and a revolutionary freedom fighter. Until his last breath, he tirelessly worked for the upliftment and prosperity of workers, laborers, farmers and peasants. Following the teachings and ideas of Mahatma Gandhi, he renunciated all wealth and riches and participated in the Freedom Movement.
Members of Krantiveer V.N. Naik Education Trust Nashik, Smt. T.M. Sreelata, DPS, Aurangabad Region, Smt. Abha Singh, DPS (HQ) Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai, Mr. Chhagan Bhujbal, Minister, Public Works Deptt. Maharashtra State were present on the dais at the time of release function of Special cover.
